That being said, there are still certain things about each model that really stand out to us and grab our attention. We could make a list like this about every vehicle we sell because there is something about every option in Nissan’s lineup that deserves to be noticed. If you are looking for a Nissan Pathfinder for sale, then you might have already noted a lot of these things, but you might not have seen them all. The Pathfinder is one of our favorite SUVs, both in Nissan’s lineup and in general, because of its excellent combination of robust performance, adventurous engineering, and gorgeous interior. Whether your main interest is in the ability to go off-road, its stylish and comfortable details, or the Pathfinder’s impressive technology, Nissan has you covered with this model. To illustrate just what we mean, let’s take a look at ten of our favorite things about this stunning SUV.

#1: The Impressive Drivetrain

The heart of the Pathfinder is its engine, and Nissan has done a great job of loading it up with the kind of power you want in a three-row SUV like this. Most Pathfinder models come with a standard 3.5L V6 engine that delivers 284 hp and 259 lb-ft of torque, which comes paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission designed to deliver a smooth driving experience. Paddle shifters add an extra level of control, and even with standard front-wheel drive, you get Terrain Modes with different options you control to adjust traction to road conditions.

#2: Intelligent 4x4

While front-wheel drive is standard on the Pathfinder, every trim also has an Intelligent 4x4 system available (it’s standard on the Rock Creek model but we’ll get to that further down). This greatly enhances the kind of traction and control the Pathfinder gives you, making for a much more satisfying experience if you like to go camping or spend a lot of time on dirt roads. With the 4x4 system, you also get upgraded Terrain Modes with seven different options, compared to the standard version that comes with five modes. With a Terrain Mode selector dial, you can easily set the system to adjust traction for a wide range of terrains and weather conditions, keeping you in control at all times.

#3: Surprising Towing Capacity

You might not expect an SUV like this to have an impressive towing capacity, but the Pathfinder proves that you should. The maximum towing depends on if you go with a model with front-wheel drive or one with Intelligent 4x4––we suggest 4x4 if you are interested in going off-road at all or want optimal towing capability. A Pathfinder with front-wheel drive can haul up to 3,500 lbs of weight behind it, while 4x4 models boost that up to 6,000 lbs of maximum towing capacity. That is plenty of capability for pulling a small boat or camper, or handling a wide range of other situations.

#4: The New Rock Creek Model

One of the most exciting things about this Nissan SUV is the Rock Creek model that’s designed to take off-road performance to the next level. For starters, the engine in this model is tuned to deliver 295 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque, giving you more power than the other models with the standard version of the engine. It also features an off-road-tuned suspension designed to handle the trail, along with 18-inch beadlock-style wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires. With greater ground clearance than standard models and a tubular roof rack that makes it easy to bring along everything you need for a camping trip, the Rock Creek is perfect for the outdoors. #5: Plenty of Room Inside

You get three rows of seating inside the Nissan Pathfinder, making this a fantastic option if you have a growing family or a large group of friends. This space is also incredibly practical and functional, as you can utilize it if you need to load up with camping supplies or bags rather than people. If you’re not looking to have eight passengers inside the Pathfinder, then you have great options for piling cargo into your vehicle. You get 16 cu.ft. of rear cargo volume behind the third row, 45 cu.ft. of cargo space behind the second row with the rear seats down, and up to 80.5 cu.ft. of total cargo volume behind the front seats inside the Pathfinder.

#6: Gorgeous Interior Details

Not only do you get a lot of room inside the Nissan Pathfinder to enjoy and load up with passengers and cargo alike, but it’s also gorgeously designed and appointed. Standard features include tri-zone automatic climate control, cloth seating, and manual lumbar control for the driver’s seat. At higher trims, you get fantastic options, including a ten-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar control, leather-appointed seating, heated front and second-row seats, and a heated steering wheel, plus much more.

#7: Connected and Innovative Technology

Comfort and luxury features aren’t all you’ll find inside––the Pathfinder also comes equipped with fantastic technology throughout. An eight-inch infotainment display is standard, with a nine-inch screen available along with Wireless Apple CarPlay integration. You get an Advanced Drive-Assist Display standard, plus there’s an available Navigation system, and you can get a wireless charging pad. A six-speaker sound system is standard, but you can choose a stunning thirteen-speaker Bose premium audio system with dual woofers for gorgeous sound.

#8: Fantastic Standard Safety Features

One of our favorite things about the Pathfinder is that the Safety Shield 360 suite of safety technologies is standard on every model. This includes great technology like Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection to help you avoid collisions and Rear Automatic Braking. You also get a Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, all standard, plus High Beam Assist, Hill Start Assist, and more in every model.

#9: Even More Safety Systems Available

If you want to take safety to the next level, then there are numerous additional safety technologies available to you. With Nissan’s available ProPILOT Assist system, you can push a button and activate cruise control that automatically adjusts your speed to match the flow of traffic while keeping you centered in your lane. It can even monitor the road ahead and slow down as you need to follow a curve. An available Intelligent Around View Monitor enhances your visibility with a virtual look around your Pathfinder, while Hill Descent Control is provided on 4x4 models to maintain an even speed while driving downhill.

#10: Remarkably Fuel Efficient

Despite its large size, spacious interior, and tremendous power, the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder is also an incredibly efficient and economical choice. Even though you can load up with eight passengers, the Pathfinder still gets an estimated 21 MPG in the city, 27 MPG on the highway, and 23 MPG combined with the standard engine and front-wheel drive. Models with Intelligent 4x4 lose a bit of city mileage, but not enough to make a huge difference overall.

All This to Love and More

All of this perfectly illustrates why we love the Pathfinder and how well it has been designed by Nissan as a great choice for a wide range of drivers. Whether you are looking for an adventurous option to take off-road and for going camping, or you need something large enough for a growing family, the Pathfinder is a terrific SUV.
