10 Things We Love About the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder
December 09 2022 - admin@wikimotive.com
As a Nissan dealership, you probably assume we love every vehicle that Nissan makes––and you’d be right because we do. That being said, there are still certain things about each model that really stand out to us and grab our attention. We could make a list like this about every vehicle we sell because there is something about every option in Nissan’s lineup that deserves to be noticed. If you are looking for a Nissan Pathfinder for sale, then you might have already noted a lot of these things, but you might not have seen them all.
The Pathfinder is one of our favorite SUVs, both in Nissan’s lineup and in general, because of its excellent combination of robust performance, adventurous engineering, and gorgeous interior. Whether your main interest is in the ability to go off-road, its stylish and comfortable details, or the Pathfinder’s impressive technology, Nissan has you covered with this model. To illustrate just what we mean, let’s take a look at ten of our favorite things about this stunning SUV.
#1: The Impressive Drivetrain
The heart of the Pathfinder is its engine, and Nissan has done a great job of loading it up with the kind of power you want in a three-row SUV like this. Most Pathfinder models come with a standard 3.5L V6 engine that delivers 284 hp and 259 lb-ft of torque, which comes paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission designed to deliver a smooth driving experience. Paddle shifters add an extra level of control, and even with standard front-wheel drive, you get Terrain Modes with different options you control to adjust traction to road conditions.#2: Intelligent 4x4
While front-wheel drive is standard on the Pathfinder, every trim also has an Intelligent 4x4 system available (it’s standard on the Rock Creek model but we’ll get to that further down). This greatly enhances the kind of traction and control the Pathfinder gives you, making for a much more satisfying experience if you like to go camping or spend a lot of time on dirt roads. With the 4x4 system, you also get upgraded Terrain Modes with seven different options, compared to the standard version that comes with five modes. With a Terrain Mode selector dial, you can easily set the system to adjust traction for a wide range of terrains and weather conditions, keeping you in control at all times.#3: Surprising Towing Capacity
You might not expect an SUV like this to have an impressive towing capacity, but the Pathfinder proves that you should. The maximum towing depends on if you go with a model with front-wheel drive or one with Intelligent 4x4––we suggest 4x4 if you are interested in going off-road at all or want optimal towing capability. A Pathfinder with front-wheel drive can haul up to 3,500 lbs of weight behind it, while 4x4 models boost that up to 6,000 lbs of maximum towing capacity. That is plenty of capability for pulling a small boat or camper, or handling a wide range of other situations.#4: The New Rock Creek Model
One of the most exciting things about this Nissan SUV is the Rock Creek model that’s designed to take off-road performance to the next level. For starters, the engine in this model is tuned to deliver 295 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque, giving you more power than the other models with the standard version of the engine. It also features an off-road-tuned suspension designed to handle the trail, along with 18-inch beadlock-style wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires. With greater ground clearance than standard models and a tubular roof rack that makes it easy to bring along everything you need for a camping trip, the Rock Creek is perfect for the outdoors.
